Harp and Kora

Excellent concert at the Stoller Hall this evening - Catrin Finch on the harps and Seckou Keita on the Koras. All four instruments (two of each) can be seen here.

Both of us had reservations about going. It's been a very busy week one way and another, and in our heart of hearts we fancied heading home after a full on day at work, and flopping out rather than heading into town.

But I'm very glad we went. Really good musicians and musicianship. The instruments blend well, and the improvisation was really good. We were two rows back from the front, it was amazing watching those dextrous fingers pluck and strum.

Looking forward to their next album together - they played some new numbers, although some of them are currently untitled.
