I set out this morning to take a "first day of autumn photo". Climbed over a gate into a fallow field to snap some bright red Rowan berries. Captivated instead by spider webs all over the place. Spent a happy half hour crouching in the undergrowth trying to get the light just right. Going home now to light the woodburning stove and feel truly autumnal..
