Day 4

Day 4. Exeter to Street. 65 miles. Much less hilly terrain today with just one epic climb onto the Blackdown Hills. Before we started the climb we stopped and had tea and tea cakes in Broadhembury, a very sweet picturesque village. Whilst I sat sipping tea I felt like I was in a film set at the beginning of something like Broadstairs or Mid summer murders! Quite comical watching the locals.

We have had lots of quiet roads until the last 8 miles when the B road we were on resembled a motorway. Here is Mr PB posing for a blip next to the 15% sign. There's an extra of him sipping tea in said village.

We couldn't find a cafe so asked if we could sit and eat our lunch in a weekend only cafe garden, they were quite to oblige

Sun all day so feeling quite weathered. Stopped for a bit of tourism at Muchelney Abbey.

Bums are still ok, feet got really sore today - cyclist hot foot apparently for me, and both had pins and needles in our hands a lot. Mr PBs ulcer is tolerable

Now been in Cornwall, Devon and Somerset
