Lorenzaccio

This evening we went to Grignan to see a production of "Lorenzaccio" by Alfred de Musset which took place in front of the magnificent facade of the chateau [see extra]. It was much better than last year's chaotic production of "Don Quixote". Although I couldn't take in enough of the words to understand much of the plot, the dance, physical theatre and light projections against the facade made for excellent viewing.

Earlier we'd had a pleasant lunch with a friend and his wife, and then wandered the (irrigation) canal of Valence with another friend.
