Larch Cottage Nurseries.

After a fairly static morning a bit of air and exercise was called for.  The weather didn't look promising so we made an impromptu visit to Larch Cottage Nurseries.  There were a few specks of rain on the windscreen as we drove but we consoled ourselves with thoughts of the cafe.

As it happened the weather was fine with no more threat of rain.  We had a good long wander round relieved part way through with the coffee.  We were determined not to buy any plants.  However when we got to the shaded area full of Hostas and ferns Clickychick found a fern she liked!

If you are in the area and you have never visited the nurseries are well worth a look.  gardens and beds interspersed among the retail sections.  The blip shows the retail plants which like shade cool and moist conditions such as the ferns mentioned.
