Cherry tomatoes

The cherry tomatoes are starting to ripen now, and taste very good, as is usually the case when they're home grown. These plants are from seeds that we got free with a magazine, and have grown better than I expected. In fact, this particular plant may be the best single tomato plant I've ever grown, and has loads of fruit on. It's about 7 foot high now and keeping going. The general advice seems to be to cut the tops out around now, but I often leave them to grow on and get tomatoes right into November if the autumn is good. I recall seeing greenhouse cordon tomatoes at Audley End (an English Heritage garden) that were about 12 foot tall, so mine have a way to go...
