Publicity stunt?

The day started late.  Gone are the days when our grandson would wake me up at 6:00 in the morning to go and make cakes before the rest of the household woke up!!

We had a leisurely breakfast and wished our eldest daughter a very happy birthday!  That was when it was agreed that we would meet up in Chester!  Lunch was a series of leftovers, each picking what they preferred with our homemade bread!

Off to Chester with three rather larger than last time kids in the back seat!  Once we had found songs for each letter of the alphabet we just played more songs and the journey was fine!

In Chester we visited the Cathedral and saw a superb exhibition of modern sculptures!  The rest of the family joined us including Em! I was amazed at Anthony Gormley's sculpture which was a very small foetus in a stainless steel bowl. (1950)  I was expecting something big like his Angel of the North, but it makes you think!

"Life, art, value, feeling, the coldness of facts, how to make a small object heavy ..."  A. Gormley

Then we took them all to tea at Beaton's tea shop to celebrate the birthday and it was very good!

A bit of shopping and home after giving the birthday cake that the girls had helped me make !

Home to a Chili without any chili and with very few beans as I forgot to put them in!  But two out of three were delighted!  Bed time and I think a game of cards for the older ones!!

Sorry but commenting at the moment is not really an option!!

The above was publicity for Dementia friends.  They were on the platform of a fireman's truck, way up high  See extra!
