Very famous stones

The Jelling stones (Danish: Jellingstenene) are massive carved runestones from the 10th century, found at the town of Jelling in Denmark. The older of the two Jelling stones was raised by King Gorm the Old in memory of his wife Thyra. The larger of the two stones was raised by King Gorm's son, Harald Bluetooth in memory of his parents, celebrating his conquest of Denmark and Norway, and his conversion of the Danes to Christianity. The Jelling stones are on Unesco's World Heritage List.

We woke at 5 am - way too early as it would be a long day...

Up at 7 to have breakfast and sort a few things.

Dog walk and then getting the last bits ready for Helle to arrived at 10.15. Pack my stuff into her car and then we took off...

First stop was in Dalum. We went to a pet shop, which belongs to the owner of Gollum's half-brother. We bought lots of stuff!

Next stop - the Jellinge Stones. We saw the stones and took the dogs for a walk and then the rain came! We were wet through in about 2 mins. It was crazy!

We arrived to the Indog Elite Center at 4 pm and helped the owner Miriam get everything ready for this weekend's competition. Helle and I are helping her organize a big dog dancing show. We have judges and entries from all over Europe. A couple of dogs even came from Japan!

Dinner with friends from Denmark, Holland, Japan and Belgium.

Evening walk near the hotel and now we are so ready for bed.

Night night Blipland
