King's Hoose

Dear Listeners, this is the house in which I spent the last night as a free man.  The next day I was all in white, trembling, and walking doon the Isle.  I was even locked into a box bed to make sure there was no escape.  Since then the hoosie has fairly been trimmed up.

The Hoy minister was fond of the raspberry brandy which was made by CMC’s brother - in fact season after season he looked forward to it.  After a while CMC’s brother thought that the minister could at least thank him from the pulpit for the brandy - and even told the minister so. Being discreet, in next Sunday’s announcements, the minister said ‘I would like to thank Albert for the fruit, and the spirit in which it was given’.
