A wall of moss

This bit of hillside, plunging to the track-side in Glen Kin, looked like a wall of moss specially created by academic botanists to observe life in such a terrain. Look at the colours of the mosses - that wonderful pink colour that reminds me of my grandmother's velvet curtains after years of sunshine. I'd love to be able to point to them now and say that I loved her moss-coloured curtains.

Another day of showers when, cheated by a broken air pump of a trip with friends on PS Waverley,  we forced ourselves out to do our 10,000+ steps and found ourselves enjoying the scents and the silence.
