Blackberries

We had a lovely start to the day, it was sunny and bright and we took Murdoch for a walk down the road and into the nearby woods. Its always fun to explore new walking areas. I was surprised to see so many blackberries out already, it seems so early in the year.

We ticked off many chores today - Gavin bought phones yesterday which we connected up today (needed a special phone adaptor for our phone lines) so its good to have a landline again. I placed all the paintings and pictures  around the house and tomorrow Gavin will hang them. It looks like home again!

That lovely weather this morning did not last long - it was a bit drizzly by late morning and then it rained softly all afternoon. We had to get all the chores done today that involved going out - another visit to the waste disposal site, fill up the car with petrol, dropped some stuff off at the charity shop, dry cleaning collected - as tomorrow we cannot get out due to the roads being closed due to a cycle race.

Celebrating the legacy for cycling created by the London 2012 Olympic Games, RideLondon-Surrey has become as iconic for cyclists as the London Marathon is for runners, with the fourth edition of the event in 2016 attracting more than 25,000 amateur cyclists from around the UK and further afield. I plan to watch the professional race and hopefully get some photos. Luckily sunshine is forecast for the race
