Yacht and Squall

15.3C with heavy showers through the morning, brighter afternoon although showers were forecast.
Moderate SSE/S  breeze.

Grocery shopping (in the rain).

Hoping the showers might clear we went the ten miles or so South to Southend then followed the road round past Dunaverty beach and Kiel to Carskey Bay. There were quite few seals on the rocks by the shore at Kiel.

At Carskey we walked along to the far end and came back again.
The Antrim coast was as clear as we have ever seen it.
When we started off it was dry. We could see showers over near the Antrim coast.
Lots of Gannets, flying along parallel to the shore in formation.
Two yachts. Both with dark sails.
A few minutes before we got back to the car one of the showers swept in and we got rather wet. Groan.

There were no eggs on display at Little farm's roadside stand again.

Later Apothecary7 was painting.
BBC Radio 2 was accompanying the painting.
This afternoon it has become sunny and bright with heavy dark clouds over the hills surrounding town.
Afternoon tea will be accompanied by custard tarts.
