A good day

Good Morning from Kendal Calling.

The pan is on for coffee before we start the day. This would prove more rain and more mud.

We woke to a vision this morning we will never forget! Well, my poor friend had to visions to contend with. I slept with my giraffe onesie on and when she woke and turned over the first thing she saw was the hood of my onesie and thought she slept with a giraffe! Her next vision and my first one this morning came from a little tent in front of us which had appeared while we were out last night. We heard the zip going down, curious to see who our new neighbours were we lay quietly and watched them emerge! First of all came the boobs in a low cut black top! Then the head, followed by the rest. I'm not poking fun at anyone who has a large chest or other but it was the look we gave each other that had us howling and the fact the boobs came first.

We sat in our tent for the morning, cup of coffee another little snooze, watching the world go by, talking to people who went past as we seemed to have the natural walk way past ours. We met a nice group of young lads who always stopped to talk to us. We watched all the new arrivals trailing the cases and bags in the mud, dropping nice white pillows in the mud, children struggling in the mud and pleased we've decided to go to Benidorm next year! We made arrangements to meet friends and have drinks at 2/3. Its a big place and we kept missing them but we had fun when we did find them.

It was such fun walking in all the mud, getting stuck and sliding but a successful day today too in the fact we didn't fall over at all today. Some near misses but we survived.

We strolled around the arena, ate junk food, drank cider, photo bombed my friends photo, visited Hospice at Home charity tent and bought our sunflower. We then trudged back to our tent for a rest before going out again at night to see the Steriophonics who were brilliant. A few fireworks to finish and we headed back through the mud to our tent. We could find it quite easily because we put fairy lights down the rope which you peg in so people didn't trip over it, we are good considerate campers.

Apart from the mud we had a good day.
