The tide was out and the jellies were in - today's swim was a bit bracing; but some nice textures and patterns - thanks to 60plus for doing the business with this month's MonoMonday.

We went to see Dunkirk last night - powerful, almost balletically filmed, hairs on the back of the neck music score. An incredible story told from the view of a private on the beach, an airman in the RAF and an ordinary chap who goes out to answer the call for ships. The film doesn't shirk at the ghastliness of war - why do we do it - but the flotilla that eventually arrived, true heroism.
