Clouds

I got off the bus near the old mill in Tankerness and walked along the road to Rerwick Head and back along the cliffs. My handy OS app says it is 8 miles but that doesn't take into account the heat, terrain and one's short hairy legs. The usual birds- 9 black guillemot stayed beyond photo range, greylags, redshanks, eider etc. Masses of meadow brown butterflies in the sunshine and lots of common blues as well. A whimbrel called loudly as it flew off over Deer Sound.
