Goodman's Fields

To London, encore une fois! Moved seats so got a pair to myself and loads of work done.

It was pouring in Spitalfields but I was inside, meeting colleagues and sorting out stuff.

Then to the Curzon Aldgate to see ' Dunkirk'. It is amazing, not perfect, and no CGI means modern France does intrude from time to time. It reminded me of the real footage from the Falklands, 35 years ago, further from now than Dunkirk was from Churchill' s death in '63. We had to learn one of his speeches at school when he died. 'We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds'.

The one cheesy bit was the slow rendition of 'Nimrod' as the little ships arrived. Oh and Kenneth Branagh doing stiff upper lip stuff and staying, for the French.

Now in a chain, for steak.
