Ready for the off...

I shall be away from Edinburgh for most of the Festival and Fringe but am there tonight and it is visibly apparent already as hundreds of locations gear up, ready for the off this Friday ( for most although some start earlier and some later whilst the Book Festival in Charlotte Square doesn't open until the 12th though the Turing Festival is on now.)

This is not only the world's largest arts festival it is now one of the largest public events on the globe. So it is great that it reaches into every part of the city, including this venue, only a few doors down from my flat.
