Education week in Australia

The schools usually hold an open day during education week. We went along to the Perthville School today. It is in a village 9 km from Bathurst, our grandfather attended Perthville in the 1800s, I wonder if it was in the same buildings. The kids have lovely teachers and after only a few visits they seem to know us, it is small and have one class in each grade from Kindergarten to year 6. Leo won an award for his commitment to school and all the kindy kids were given 2 books. He and Maddy were also allowed to purchase a book for home ( at a small cost). Unfortunately Leo was not well and only went for the presentation.
