I gave our friend Gwyneth a print of the portrait I took of her dog Sally last Thursday when we saw her at St Luke's today. She was delighted with it, and said it's going straight into a frame. Gwyneth has been in a lot of discomfort with her hip lately, so it was nice to do something to cheer her up. It was a terrible day for Mum in terms of pain too - the Tramadol and Paracetamol left it completely untouched. It's upsetting to see her suffer day after day. I have a constant feeling of worry in the pit of my stomach about what's going to happen if it continues progressing to the point where she can no longer walk. On the same note we're still waiting for the blue badge to arrive in the post, which would help a bit.

We did get out to The Barn garden centre for a quick browse and a latte and cake. I loved the old-fashioned look of the display of echinacea. Some pretty leucanthemum flowers in Extras.
