Not a Hoverfly

My search for different species of Hoverfly to add to my collection has now led to something different.
Notice the narrow waist and the comb like antennae. This is clearly a wasp.

A search in the book and on the Internet leads me to believe that it is a Tree Wasp. Dolichovespula sylvestris.
Internet tells me that this is not very aggressive compared to other species of wasp. Although it nests in urban areas it does not like to enter buildings and is not interested in the kind of food we eat.
