Fork Handle.

I bought this garden fork a few years ago now, not as a garden implement but as a perch for the birds. I chose this one for its old-fashioned wooden handle, which has weathered nicely, and for its low cost, which still still seemed a bit extravagant. I think the birds and I have had my money's worth. It has been utilised for its intended purpose by everything from a wren to a sparrowhawk. One on today's visitors to use it was a blackbird.
