The 100 Book Challenge

I recently embarked on the BBC/Times/Guardian/Facebook/However-else-wants-to-say-they-made-the-list's 100 Books to Read Before You Die challenge with some friends. Meet our September Book - Tess of the D'Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy.

Today was the first 'book club' meeting, and it is definitely worth doing this with friends as it MAKES you read the books. This one was initially quite dull at the beginning and I probably would have stopped, but you can't let you're friends down, so with some perseverance I got to the exciting bits after a few chapters. It is beautifully written and I see why it is on the list.

You can't beat a bit of classical literature.
