One week already!

Day 7 and after a very late night last night nobody surfaced until around 9.30 (I had been for my morning run however). We went shopping for a little while and picked up some lovely bits for our house - a couple of cushions and a beautiful tray for the kitchen! We have just renovated and are in the middle of furnishing so a couple of unique piece will be lovely!

We all thought we deserved a drink after shopping and so my husband treated us to a drink at the Cafe de Paris! Yes the price is extortionate but you pay for the view! We sat watching the world go by in front of the Casino for a long while, my children car spotting!!

This evening we went to watch an international firework competition (USA). It started at 9.30 so we had a quiet afternoon by the pool before heading there. Whilst at the pool these dragon flies made an appearance so I took the opportunity to capture them! We caught the bateau bus across the port and had dinner before watching the spectacle. It was truly amazing!!

I suspect after another late night the family will be slow to rise in the morning! But that is fine with me! I will be up with the sun as usual and enjoy some tranquility x
