Air Day

We've been to the Air Show at East Kirkby. The rain showers all around missed us and the sun shone for most of the day but it was very windy so that sadly The Great War Display Team and the Hawker Fury were not able to attend the Show as it was too windy to leave their bases and a friend from Shropshire wasn't able to do his display in his newly purchased Avro Anson either. However the planes which could fly put on some great displays; the newly painted Lancaster did a couple of taxy runs with paying guests aboard and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight gave us several graceful fly pasts. There were plenty of other interesting things to see including a magnificent array of vintage cars and some 40's&50's dancing displays.

Back to 'Matilda' to enjoy the rest of the lovely evening, the ducks came to join us for dinner and there was a beautiful sunset.

No internet here so I'm just posting on a bit of 3G off my phone when I can. Sorry for lack of comments again
