Wenvoe Mast

Mrs BB and I did walk 7 of 'The Vale Trails' leaflets of walks around The Vale of Glamorgan. This one started at St Nicholas, nr Cardiff, through Duffryn Gardens (National Trust) and St Lythans back to the start. It was 8 miles.

The blipfoto is of The Wenvoe transmitting mast and station - a facility for broadcasting and telecommunications situated close to the village of Wenvoe in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales, in the UK. It comprises an 855ft-metre guyed mast with antennas attached at various heights.

Two other landmarks we walked past was Tinkinswood Burial Chamber - a 6,000 year old burial mound with reputedly the largest cap stone in Europe, and St Lythans Burial chamber (The Haunted Field), another of the same age. Ideal locations for some astro-photography to return and spend a couple of hours photographing stars!
