The Bicycle

29th July 2107:

I know that there were lots of discussions about this little girl and a possible bicycle.

Like most of the girls we support she is part of a long, sad story.

Florence, who is head of this girl project, knows every single girl personally and has a database the size of the room on every aspect to see how exactly we can best support each special one of them.

The stories of the 189 would fill a great book, but will never see the light of day, because they have their privacy.

From memory she lives a long distance from her school. I think we tried boarding, but somehow something else went wrong, so I think the final decision was to opt for this new bike, as the best solution.

It will do her for her time in school and will stay with us when she is finished and be used, then,  by someone else.

She is the luckiest little woman in Mzuzu and by her face, the happiest.

I wonder if it has a lock. It will need one.
