Pointing the way

Picking up this feather for the blip box I noticed the white arrow marks up the shaft as if pointing the way- what to I have no idea. I have never noticed them before.
I have added an extra on silver paper which I quite liked except for the scratch marks on the surface so it was relegated to the also rans.

What a stark contrast to day's weather was to yesterday. Cold, wet and miserable. I ventured out to get some spuds for tea but otherwise have spent the day doing a variety of computer related things, none of them blipfoto.Plus quite a lot of reading.

So thanks for the comments and stars on the apricot dawn of yesterday. We didn't get to see the partial lunar eclipse today because of cloud.
