Penguin Droppings

Medium Rare

One of Fife's rarer sightings - a comma butterfly. They have only recently returned to Fife after an absence of over 100 years. This is now the 9th one I have seen in 9 years and the second one this year.
Previous one on 27th April at the same location:

This must be one of the next generation.

It is so named from the mark on its underwing looking like a punctuation mark though its Latin name refers to it as a white 'C'. - Polygonia c-album
