What A Day!

What a day it's been. Rain, hail, thunder, lightning and strong winds and the added delight of being freezing cold meant it was a day of huddling inside in too many clothes and wishing for summer aarghh! I thought I'd never wish for summer lol.

At around 5.15pm there was a momentary small patch of blue sky so Toto and I rushed out the door and around the block in quick time because we could see more black clouds coming through. The Hardenbergia flowers covered the ground and looked very beautiful in the strange stormy half light.

The island where the Ibis call home is completely underwater. They are all nesting at the moment and some of the lower nests in the paperbark trees are just above the water - nicely high and dry! In the extra's is a shot of how it looked today after all the added rain, I have never seen it so full!!
