Crab apples

This wee apple tree in the hospital grounds commemorates a child who died in the hospital a number of years ago.  It seems to bear fruit only every second year and here this morning I found it bearing a good number of apples despite it's small size.  A poignant sight.

Some days off now after a very busy long weekend at work.  Enjoying an evening on the sofa with the athletics!
