Let There Be Light

Today, Mike finished installing a window, light and breeze flooding in where it never has before. The former owner of the land brought us the window when we asked if he knew where to get old ones - and would accept no payment. I love it, it's solid, and has wooden shutters, as well as small glass panes. We found a slab of schist on the land, which has made a gorgeous windowsill. Now I want to sand and paint the window, it's a dark brown - maybe red and yellow... poppy and gold.

And another neighbour brought us a 1000 litre plastic tank for water, that the rural folk use here - again, no payment. No idea how we're meant to fill it, mind you.
