Nicky and her Nikon

Christ Church, Epsom

This morning I took Murdoch back to the vet for his check up. He was such a good boy, sitting calmly next to me in the waiting room while we waited to see the vet, while another small dog was snapping and snarling at him. Although he barks when people come to the house, he never barks at other dogs when out and about. He is much better, and the shoulder injury seems to have healed although the vet says he still does not have a full range of movement there. Murdoch will be 11 years old in October and he has been such a healthy dog, he never gets ill - apart from this incident. We had medical insurance for him for the first 10 years of his life and actually cancelled it as for us it was a waste of money. He has always had plenty of exercise and possibly that is the key to his good health? Or maybe it just the breed, and he does come from a good pedigree line - good meaning long established but not overbred.

After a cloudy start to the day it is now beautifully sunny - a complete change to the deluge of rain we had yesterday. The AV man has also been here today connecting up the TV's and Sky so hopefully tonight I can finally watch TV on the big screen, hurrah!

I often drive past this beautiful church so today I stopped to take a photo. It was built in 1876 and designed by the eminent Victoria architect Arthur Blomfield who also designed London’s Royal College of Music. I thought the sepia treatment suited the architecture.
