Swans At Dawn

A beautiful start to the day as I went down to the river for sunrise. The sun has moved round behind the trees now, so the by the time iI saw it, it was already casting a lovely golden light over everything. I was joined by eight swans, some of which swam obligingly for me in the part of the river where I was photographing the trees :))

Home for breakfast then out again to Arne RSPB reserve, in the hope of seeing deer but also to have a good walk - I don't feel as if I've walked enough in the past few days. So I have photos of deer, dragonflies, Corfe Castle and cormorants - all yet to be processed!

By the time I returned home, it was still only lunchtime, so I did some general 'house' stuff and then had a lovely surprise visit from a friend, so coffee was brewed and chat was chatted!

I had an early dinner and a quiet evening, although I did go out for a quick look at the sunset and to pick up a few bits from the supermarket.  It's firework night on the quay but I've run out of sparkle....... I'm heading to bed very soon - very early for me! :))

Thank you all so much for everything on recent blips - you have been most kind!

Ann :))
