Rewarded for exercise

After a great morning at the Proms where we waved our flags and belted out Land of Hope and Glory and other well known Proms songs a walk was needed to walk off the lunchtime sandwiches and cake.

It was threatening rain but I set off anyway and was rewarded in seeing kingfishers in several places. I did manage a thousand and one shots but none of those perfect so I am going for the "technically" imperfect, slightly out of focus one against a high key sky.

I think this is the male and an extra is of the female also in such a state that I couldn't sharpen or get rid of noise and still see it. Always too far away and in the shade.Always a thrill to see them.
