Diocletian Capital

Today was the last full day of our Dalmatian adventure and we sailed back into Split at about lunch time.  It really is a bustlingly busy city.

We had a guided tour of the old town, a large proportion of which is made up of various bits of Diocletian's fourth century palace which makes up around half of the ole town - so interesting how such an old building has been integrated into the normal life of the people. Some real gems there as you can see from these capitals.

This has been a good holiday - with relaxation and culture combining well.  Tomorrow is travelling day back to the rather different weather in the UK.
