Meeting a President

After a morning catching up, I had the pleasure with my colleague Elliot of meeting up with May Dunsmuir.

May used to be a children's reporter but is now the President of the Additional Support Needs Tribunal which is soon to be amalgamated into the Scottish Tribunals in the Health and Education Chamber of the First-tier tribunals.

We've been meaning to catch up for a long time to talk about the similarities and differnces of our systems - and the common challenges we face.

Lots of areas of potential overlap and we ran out of time - so planning the next encounter.

As this weekend is occupied with culture I did the weekend shop tonight and got a lot of the ironing done with the Proms performance of Oklahoma playing out around me. Great music and given the current diplomatic fervour the refrain of "the farmers and the cowboys should be friends" seemed very apt!
