Woodland Garden

Today my son took me to an open day at Terrace Station. The garden consists of huge trees underplanted with woodland perennial flowers. Since it is late winter the main flowers in bloom were snowdrops and hellebore. Unfortunately it was a dull day and the light was mostly poor.  See extra shots.

We enjoyed walking the paths, admiring the flowers and being astonished by some of the trees, which were planted in the mid to late 19th century. Trees often grow faster here than in their native habitats.
