Ancient and modern

Today we went up the 450m "Skytree" with one of our hosts and his son, then visited the ancient Buddhist temple of Sensō-ji. just across from the base of the tower before an excellent lunch of mixed tempura, home-made soba noodles and "snow crab" maki roll. After stopping briefly in Kappabashidori, our host and his son left us at Tokyo main railway station to go home. Finally, we walked through the gardens surrounding the imperial palace grounds.
