Double Crescents

Suzanne and I visited one of my favorite Cape locations this morning, at the Cape Cod Natural History Museum.  We enjoyed the path through woodlands and a meadow to the beach.  It was low tide so the marsh grasses were visible and the water had settled into pools.  We saw these Northern Crescent butterflies on the goldenrod and had numerous opportunities with a Red-tailed Hawk (extra).  We were supposed to attend a sunset workshop this evening but it has been canceled due to the threat of thunderstorms.  It's a shame, but we'll make up for it by going out for a nice relaxing dinner.
