Wait and See

I collected these today, my first varifocals, and was pleasantly surprised that I didn't feel sick while wearing them, as I had feared the worst.

My eyes take a minute to adjust and then it's almost ok. I don't think I need to wear them all the time, yet, but the point at which I shall just give in is getting closer.

I still can't fully work out what's better, worse and no different with these glasses. But one thing's for sure... since I was told about the cataract I had been noticing that my left eye has slightly misty vision - of which I was ignorant previously - and the new specs seem to have made that less noticeable.

I can't imagine climbing in specs.... but that's silly, plenty of people do!
