Well: why are those people looking at me??

SIGH…it’s not quite the end of the water saga.   We did the last flush this am of the new filter, and then turned on the water to the house….super!    30 minutes later, up come the plumbers (unannounced)..they were sorry but they forgot to install a solenoid.   OK.   The good news:  the water looks great now.,    The bad news, there was a pressure leak detected.   either the well pump check valve got clogged or there is a leak between the well and the pump house.    

I can hardly believe it.

So after 2 trips in the boat and then truck to Galiano for supplies, these 2 very pleasant hard working guys  ( they had to dig !) fixed a small drip leak in the  (NEW!) pipe coming out of the well, but that didn’t solve it.   There is another leak in the (OLD) pipe going into the shed from the well.   they’ll be back…tomorrow?    Maybe.


And I mistyped when I said this started with the new pump July 1—-it was June 1.    More than enuf of this romantic island living for me.   But I’ll stop with that.    We did just hop in our boat for a lovely row at the end of the day.  And our neighbors just gave us hour old fresh caught Ling cod so how nice is that for dinner tonight??
