Here are some of the lovely people I work with at The Usual Place Cafe - staff, trainees and volunteers. The plaque and certificate show our World Host Recognition for Excellent Customer Service; the training for this was delivered by David and Liz from Dumfries and Galloway College, who visited us today and are also in this photo.

Excellent customer service was very important today as we had one of our busiest ever days in the cafe. The kitchen was kept busy preparing lunches and in the cafe we served a lot of scones and homemade cakes. I love it when we're busy as there's a real buzz in the place and everyone is doing their best to give the customers the best experience possible. We had plenty of positive comments today and that made us all feel even better and work even harder!
