blooming

Working at the cafe today and I was asked to take some photos of the garden to publicise the news that The Usual Place has been chosen to receive an award from Dumfries Civic Pride. You can see the photos HERE.

I was home in time to do a bit of gardening myself before the heavens opened and then it was time to cook the tea, and I realised that I hadn't got round to taking any photos of my own. So here is the beautiful orchid which Marlena gave me at the end of May. A new bud has appeared over the last week and it opened yesterday :-)
