Dr Neills Garden

Took advantage of a sunny morning to visit these quiet hidden away gardens just off Holyrood Park. Thanks to blipper AKM for alerting me to this garden I had not found before.  Wandering round the streets of Duddingston afterwards with friend A, we  got chatting to the local poet/story teller and learned a bit of the local history.
Afternoon was spent at the Book Festival. We listened to Julian Glover (talking about Thomas Telford), Andy Hamilton and Vince Cable who has written a political thriler.  My first vote went to Vince, 2nd to Julian Glover on Telford and 3rd to Andy Hamilton.
