Ni Moth

When I saw this beauty in my trap this morning I thought it was just another Silver Y, but something told me I should pot it and I am so glad I did, because it is actually a Ni Moth Trichoplusia ni, which according to UK Moths is 'An immigrant which occurs in small numbers most years, usually not more than 50 per year. It's breeding range encompasses Southern Europe and North Africa, and larvae have occasionally been found in Britain' It has a wingspan of 30 - 40 mm and is attracted to light.
Another wonderful 'lifer' from my trap.
