Flower Friday Orchid

I made the long drive home from Mum's today but not before I had taken a few photos of her gorgeous orchid for my Flower Friday blip! The journey was longer than usual but no more so than I expected. I detoured along backroads in the new Forest to avoid the inevitable long tail backs that are an integral part of any Friday in August, passing through lots of lovely scenery, only partially visible through the heavy rain, thunder and fork lightning crashing almost simultaneously overhead!
