Feeding frenzy

The wind was picking up and I was trying to tie up the hollyhock, which had outgrown its original stake, when I noticed the bees all over the echinops.  They were all a bit dozy and ended up walking over my arm when I brushed against them.  Luckily I had a fleece on - it being August!  I just brushed them off again, back onto the flowers, and they were quite laid back about it!

A day of heavy thundery showers, the washing was out on the line, in, out again and then back in.  It will dry eventually!
