Sunflowers

Having taken so many images yesterday, I thought I would restrict myself to just ONE today!  Then I heard about a field of sunflowers close by and, as the sun was shining, that initial resolution went out of the window as John and I (plus doglet) headed for the field.  Quite a few shots were taken - an extra includes Pepper running towards me along a path around the sunflowers.

It took us a long time to get round the field.  Apart from stopping to take pics, just about everyone we met wanted to greet Pepper who loved all the attention - this was great socialisation for her too.

This lady was with her daughter and made a great fuss of Pepper - she was quite happy for me to take pics of the reflective sunflowers in her sun glasses!

The Farmer has grown the sunflowers this year as an experimental crop and is opening up the field at weekends for the public to pick some at £1 a time with proceeds to a local charity.  Great idea.  It's quite possible to go at any time though, access to the field is easy, as long as we keep to the paths (no problem).  The blooms are just past their best but there are still a lot of images awaiting the right lens - I forgot my macro and reflector!
