Riders on the Storm

Backblipped

The day started with sunshine so Dave, Pete and I went for a swim in the sea before breakfast.  Stu and Mole deciding that discretion was the better part of valour.  Suitably refreshed we all soon felt on top of the world courtesy of Pete's rather excellent cooked breakfast.  Inner men duly fortified we proceeded to catch the steam train from Swanage to Norden and from there cycled on off-road paths to Studland, to catch the ferry to Poole.

It was at this point that the weather changed, and you can see the front coming in in my blip today, which was taken of Brownsea Island from the Studland to Poole ferry.  30 minutes after this was taken there were 5 very wet and cold chaps on bicycles grimly and determinedly pushing on, into the teeth of a gale getting absolutely drenched.

Fortunately the weather changed for the better less than an hour later, and we were eventually able to dry out.  A few beers might have helped in that process ... :-)
