Village cottage

Right in the middle of the village, tucked in next to the church, is a row of pretty cottages. The were built in the15th and 16th centuries on the site of a former slaughterhouse! How incredible, to have a slaughterhouse right in the middle of the village! The cottages are now behind a high hedge but glimpses can be seen through the gateways.
I was down in the village to buy euros to give to our boys later today, ahead of their holiday in Spain starting later this week. We are seeing them this evening to wish them Bon voyage.
